The clubhouse beta version for Android and the update to its iOS app were announced through a press release. IOS users are also being informed of the new ad via an in-banner. For its iOS app, Clubhouse is adding a prompt that will notify the club host when new members will join the room and stick for a while. Additionally, the instructions in the app are also improved and suggested in the app. Its Voice Isover accessibility support has also been improved to make it easier for users to identify who is speaking by double-tapping on the screen or using the “Magic Tap” gesture.
Earlier, Clubhouse announced that it would bring monetization facility to the platform for its creators and would not take any cuts from it. The app will allow creators – who have the feature enabled – to send money to users by tapping the Send Money option. Discard Stage Channel, Instagram Live Rooms, Reddit Talk, Telegram and Voice is Chats 2.0 and Twitter Space have already launched as alternatives to the hit audio Dio-only social media platform.
