Clubhouse Android App Under Beta Testing, New Improvements to iOS App Announced

Clubhouse is finally testing its Android app with a number of testers of its choice. Along with that, the invited audio Dio social media platform has announced a few changes and enhancements to its iOS app Clubhouse was launched as an iOS exclusive app in April 2020 and has gained tremendous popularity since then. It is now picked up by Discord Stage Channel, Instagram Live Rooms, Reddit Talk, Telegram and Voice is Chat 2.0 and Twitter Space. Facebook and LinkedIn are working on releasing their own options, and Mark Cuban’s Fireside audio Dio chat and podcasting app is also expected to launch soon.

The clubhouse beta version for Android and the update to its iOS app were announced through a press release. IOS users are also being informed of the new ad via an in-banner. Clubhouse has not committed to a date for the release of its Android app, but since it has rolled out a beta version, a stable version of the app can be expected to launch soon. “We can’t wait to welcome more Android users to Clubhouse in the coming weeks,” the press release notes.

For its iOS app, Clubhouse is adding a prompt that will notify the club host when new members will join the room and stick for a while. Additionally, the instructions in the app are also improved and suggested in the app. Its Voice Isover accessibility support has also been improved to make it easier for users to identify who is speaking by double-tapping on the screen or using the “Magic Tap” gesture.

Earlier, Clubhouse announced that it would bring monetization facility to the platform for its creators and would not take any cuts from it. The app will allow creators – who have the feature enabled – to send money to users by tapping the Send Money option. Discard Stage Channel, Instagram Live Rooms, Reddit Talk, Telegram and Voice is Chats 2.0 and Twitter Space have already launched as alternatives to the hit audio Dio-only social media platform.
