New Delhi: Criticizing the Center over its Central Vista project, Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday said that at a time when the country is reeling under a shortage of oxygen and vaccines, it would be better for the government to deploy all the resources to save lives instead of building a new house for the Prime Minister.
His attack on the government came on reports that Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has informed the expert panel appointed by the government that the construction of the Prime Minister’s residence will be completed by December 2022 under the ambitious Central Vista project.
“At a time when the people of the country are suffering from shortages of oxygen, vaccines, hospital beds, medicines, it would be better for the government to deploy all the resources to save the lives of the people instead of building a new house for the PM.” Said in a tweet.
