In an official statement, Instagram tweeted CNET. Said, “You’re not always somewhere where you want your voice to be, however, you still want to see what your friends and creators are posting. With captions, people can now express themselves more easily yet in a more meaningful way, and their audience can see and still engage. ”
To use captions, record a video using Stories or upload it through your phone gallery. Swipe up to reveal the sticker tray and select a new option. Video footage will appear in your video, in which Instagram will automatically convert the speech into text. Users can customize the caption style, font color and text. Users can put video captions in their preferred position.
