Rajasthan Royals (RR) player Ryan Parag posted a tweet, though his official facial social media handle later started a hilarious meme-fest. “Khatam, Tata, bye bye # IPL2021 #iplcancel” was tweeted by Parag after the BCCI and the IPL Governing Council postponed the Indian Premier League (IPL) to the 14th edition indefinitely on May 4. One fan joked that injured Ben Stokes and Joffra Archer could now return to the team when the IPL resumes after the postponement.

Out of the total 61 matches to be played in IPL 2021, only 29 matches could be completed.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ‘s Varun Chakraborty and Sandeep War Rear tested positive for COVID-19 while Chennai Super Kings coaches Laxmipati Balaji and Mike Hussey along with a member of the CSK Travel team support staff also tested positive.
One player each from Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have also tested positive for the virus.
